Sonny Maton, who is seventy-three years old, was born and raised in the small mid-west farming community of Pana, Illinois.
He received his bachelor degree from Eastern Illinois University. Went on to get his masters degree from the University of Illinois and later received his doctorate from Kensington University, in California.
He published his first award winning novel in 1994; "A LEAF FALLS BUT ONCE". Since he has retired from his career in higher education at Kieser University where he was the Associate Dean of Instruction, he has published additional novels including; "TEA LEAVES, "THE BLACK KNIGHTS OF THE EMBARRASS","LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH", and "A SLEEPING GIANT"..
